It was not the Ding's day as poor defending cost them badly with Histon 3-0 up at the break with their first three chances on goal. It may have been different had luck helped two early DJ Campbell efforts into the net, but one just went wide and the other hit the post and the Ding were to suffer their record defeat.

The Ding Reserves continue their winning start to defence of their league title with an impressive away win over Slough Town.

Ryman League Division One North - B/H Monday 25 August 2003
Yeading made it three wins out of three thanks to a DJ Campbell goal in the thirty-first minute. After dominating the first half Yeading made hard work of the victory in a game they should have won by a more convincing margin and may have thrown away the points but for some better finishing from the home side.
Result - Yeading 4 East Thurrock United 0
A great exhibition of football saw the Dinig cruise to three points in their first home game of the season and send out a warning to their league rivals this season.
DJ Campbell and Bobby Behzadi sent the Ding on their way with first half goals before Darti Brown and Danny Jordan completed the scoring.
Meanwhile, new siging Adam Theo made his debut from the bench.

Central Defender Adam Theo has signed Ryman forms for the club having been recently released from the Reading FC Academy.
News - Dwane's Off to Devon
After a successful pre-season spell with Exeter City, Ding midfielder and some-time defender Dwane Lee has accepted terms with the Conference-based club to join them on a permanent basis.
Everybody at The Warren would like to wish Dwane all the best in his future career.

Tuesday 19 August 2003 - Ryman League Charity Shield
After an impressive opening twenty minutes with DJ Campbell in particular causing problems for the home defence, Yeading were unable to hold back their hosts who moved to a 4-0 lead. However late consolation goals from Darti Brown and DJ Campbell (Penalty) made the score more respectable by the final whistle.

Saturday 16 August 2003 - Ryman Division One North
After falling behind midway through the first half, Yeading responded with two second half goals in quick succession around the hour mark as Danny Jordan then DJ Campbell netted for the Ding. Meanwhile there were debuts for central defender Mark Kleboe and striker Younis Nabil and a competitive debut for Dave Clarke.
