After falling a goal behind Yeading took a two-one lead into half-time with goals from Danny Jordan and Nevin Saroya and looked to be cruising to another victory. Failure to clear their lines fully however saw them leak another two goals midway through the second half and with the Ding attack unable to create clear chances defeat could not be prevented.

The Charity Shield against Aldershot Town will now take place Tuesday 19 August.

Thursday 24 July 2003 - Pre-season Friendly
A team of Yeading triallists and PASE students, bolstered by Leyton Brooks at the heart of defence and Luke Blackmore in goal, couldn't come back from an early goal from the visitors, with the Ding's pre-season try-out side stuggling to create efforts on goal.

Tuesday 22 July 2003 - Pre-Season Friendly
A first half side of triallists and fringe players struggled to gel and trailed 2-0 at th break. However, a more full-strength second-half line-up saw Telemaque score in the opening minute and Jordan equalised on the half hour mark. Protain and Newby then added to the tally in the last five minutes to seal another pre-season win.
Result - Pre-Season Friendly - Yeading 4 Egham Town 1
First half goals from Errol Telemaque and Keith Newby put the Ding on course for an excellent opneing win, with a very good first half display. Danny Jordan and triallist Michael Barima added to the Ding's tally late on in the second half, either side of an Egham consolation.

Yeading open the league season with a trip away to Wealdstone on Saturday 16 August 2003. That is followed by a midweek home fixture against another set of promotion hopefuls in the form of Harlow Town. Saturday 23 August sees East Thurrock United visit The Warren.

FA Competition Draws
FA Cup
Yeading have been drawn away at Cambridgeshire side Histon FC of the Dr Martens Eastern Division, in the Preliminary Round of this season's FA Cup. The game to be played on Saturday 30 August 2003. The winners face a trip to either Tring Town or Mildenhall Town or Ilford in the First Qualifying Round to be played on Saturday 13 September.
FA Trophy
In the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy Yeading face a trip south to another Dr Martens Eastern Division Side in the form of Hastings United, the game to be played Saturday 4 October 2003. The winners of this tie then travel to either Dulwich Hamlet or Cheshunt on the first day of November in the First Round Proper of the competition.
